Dr. Culbertson,
As you know about 11 years ago I had a major accident, which a lot of Doctors stated that I’m lucky to be walking today. Over the past 11 years I’ve worked hard in physical therapy and also worked hard to overcome the mental issues that came from the accident.
From the accident I not only had a major scar but also had a deformity from the surgery to save the muscle over my shin. About three years ago you completed surgery on the scar to help diminish the appearance of the scar.
I was happy with the plastic surgery that you completed, however I still wanted to have the muscle over my shin taken care of. At the time several Doctors including yourself told me that there was nothing that could be done to correct the problem with the muscle. From all the information that I received from the Doctors I finally gave up.
I can remember it as if it was yesterday when I was in the locker room at the Gym, when someone stated to me “OH MY GOD, (name) what did you do to your shin?” which another gentleman stated “It looks like your shin is pregnant”. From that time on I was going to find a doctor if I had to go to California. In January 2009 I called your office to start the process of finding a way to correct my problem. After our visit together you stated that new technology was available and that you could fix the problem with my leg. I have to tell you that was the best news that I received over the last 11 years.
I believe the surgery was scheduled on April 28, 2009 and it’s been six months from the surgery and the scar looks good and the procedure that you completed looks great. I have to tell you that my confidence has increased 100 percent from the surgery and I thank you for that.
